Dear Neighbor,

Over the past 9 years I have been honored to serve as both a City Council Member and as the current Mayor for the City of Monroe. In addition, I have tried to stay continually connected to our community through my many interactions with Monroe Schools, Youth Athletics, Young Life, the faith community, YMCA, Boys & Girls Club, Diversity Council, Chamber of Commerce, local businesses and through my relationships with neighboring City, County and State officials. I have developed partnerships that have strengthened East Snohomish County and the region. My purpose: to make our community a healthy place where people want to live, work and play.

I have done my best to face challenges with integrity and resolve.  My record is clear: I have championed the principles and values that support the core responsibilities of government without jeopardizing the City’s finances or cause an undue burden on Taxpayers. I am proud that in Monroe we have stood against higher property taxes and cumbersome bureaucratic hurdles that stifle economic growth. We have proven that government can be disciplined in spending and that we can implement reforms and improvements that welcome business growth.

It is with this same commitment to conservative principles and personal fortitude that I will represent the 39th District in Olympia.
